Tales of Freyja

12 new colours have landed in 80 denier opaque tights

Once every autumn we let something strange loose in the dye house. This year Freyja's colours went missing, and she came home with twelve new 80 denier shades, named after the creatures she found guarding them.

Chapter one

The Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch

She followed the smell of burnt sugar to a market stall run entirely by squash. Behind the biggest one, something very small and very green refused to move until we named a colour after it.

The Spa in the cave

The Spa in the cave

Nobody warned her the cave was booked. Cucumber on the bear, flamingo in the shallows, troll up to his ears and thoroughly unbothered. She took notes. We took a colour - and brought an old favourite back with us.

Chapter three

The Loud Fountain

The Loud Fountain

A unicorn, a pegasus, a fairy with an attitude and a dragon doing something unspeakable to the water supply. Four colours came out of that garden. Here's one. Meet the rest in the shades above.

80 Denier Tights, Answered

Opaque enough to hide everything. Soft enough to live in.

What does 80 denier actually mean?

Denier is how thick the yarn is. 80 is our everyday opaque: you cannot see through it, it smooths, and it still moves with you. Thinner than 120 (the duvet), thicker than 50 (the lighter everyday).

Are they really opaque?

Yes. 80 denier is fully opaque on every size. No lighthouse-leg, no surprise sheerness when you sit down.

Do they stay up?

The waistband is designed to sit still without digging in. Built for real bodies, not a mannequin.

What sizes do they come in?

EU 32–64, the same as the rest of Snag. Use the size calculator if you want a second opinion.

80 vs 50 vs 120 — which should I buy?

80 is the all-rounder for autumn and most of the year. Pick 50 when you want the same colour in a lighter, everyday denier. Pick 120 when you want the thickest, warmest pair in the drawer.

How do I wash them?

Inside out, 30 degrees, gentle cycle. Skip the tumble dryer. Hang them up and they will be ready tomorrow.
