Does a skater dress work for different body shapes?

The waist seam and flared skirt do most of the work, since the fit is defined at the waist before the skirt has room to move, rather than relying on one straight cut all the way down. Snag's Archean Skater Dress comes in sizes 4 to 38, with every size cut to its own pattern rather than one design scaled up or down. That means the waist seam sits in the right place whatever size you're wearing.

Will a skater dress fly up or ride up when you move?

A well-made skater skirt has enough weight in the fabric to swish and twirl without flying up in a gust of wind.
