Frequently asked questions

How do I know my bra size?

The easiest way is to measure your underbust and your bust at its fullest point, then check those two numbers against a sizing chart. A lot of people end up wearing a size that doesn't actually fit, since the usual method of just going up a cup letter as your bust changes tends to get the band and cup relationship wrong, especially at bigger sizes. We have our own sizing chart and calculator that converts from your usual size if you already know it, so you don't have to start from scratch.

How often should you replace a bra?

Our bras are built to hold their shape over time, but like any bra, expect to replace one after around six months to a year of regular wear depending on how often you wash and wear it. Watch for the band riding up at the back, straps that won't stay tightened, or the stretch mesh losing its recovery, since the wireless design relies on that fabric doing the support rather than a wire. If yours isn't holding you the way it used to, it's worth remeasuring with Snag's size guide rather than assuming you're still the same size.

Why do bra sizes vary so much between brands?

Every brand uses its own combination of pattern, fabric stretch and sizing method, so a size that fits well in one brand can feel completely different in another. We avoid the usual letter-based cup sizing altogether and uses a numbered system from 1 to 9 for band size, paired with Regular, Full or Grande cups, so band and cup are measured separately rather than assumed to move together. It's a different system to what you might be used to, but the size guide converts your usual size into it in a couple of steps.

Are wireless bras actually supportive?

Yes, a well made wireless bra can be just as supportive as one with underwire, the support just comes from the fabric and construction instead of a metal wire. Our bras use a stretch mesh built specifically to lift and hold rather than relying on wires, which also tends to be more comfortable over a full day. Underwire gives a different, more structured shape, so it comes down to what feels right for you rather than one being objectively better.

Where to get bras for a bigger bust size?

Our Full and Grande cup options are built specifically for that, covering traditional sizes right up to H and K, with sizes running from 4 to 38 overall. Since the band and cup are sized separately, the fit is built around your actual proportions rather than a smaller bra just scaled up.
