- Construction & fit: Long-sleeved top in stretchy mesh lace with a rose and leaf pattern, with thumbholes at the cuffs. The same shape as our classic mesh top. Semi-sheer, with the rose pattern softening the sheerness. Soft on the skin, with none of the scratchiness of traditional lace.
- Fit note: It has the same stretch as our regular mesh tops. Wear it on its own or layered under a dress.
Care: Gentle machine wash at 30°C. Wash with similar colours. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron on reverse. Do not dry clean.

Our team drew both tartans; the green one is striped with Snowball, Liquorice, Granny Smith, Denim and Secret Garden (all shades from our tights range), so whichever colour you spot, there's a pair of Snag tights to match.

The Skye dress
For cosy firesides and the muddy walk there
Rich burgundy stretch cotton with big lace-detailed balloon sleeves for romantic drama. Soft shirring under the bust and around the waist holds you comfortably without pinching or digging in.
Pockets with no tricks
The pockets on the Skye dress are properly deep, take your phone with room to spare and lie flat at your hips.

Ours is far lower maintenance: pop it in the wash at 30°C with your darks.
No ironing required
We can't promise magic around the house, but the Iona blouse comes close: its crinkle texture means the iron stays in the cupboard and you head straight out the door.

The Jura wrap top is soft organic cotton jersey that ties high or low, snug or relaxed, so it moves with you instead of asking you to squeeze into it.

The Rum lace top is soft stretch lace scattered with roses, with a cosy high neck and thumbholes to keep the chill off your hands. It's sheer, so wear a bra or cami underneath, layer it under the Skye dress or tuck it into your skirt. The Iona blouse is the easy one: tie the collar in a neat bow or leave it open in a relaxed V and let the billowy sleeves do the work.

A good tartan skirt needs proper tights once the weather turns grey, from cosy cable knit wool to 120 denier in rich autumn colours.

Glamourie is our folklore collection, inspired by Snag's Scottish roots and the old stories we love. Our team drew two original tartans and designed five new pieces around them. You'll find the Islay tartan maxi skirt with deep pockets, the Jura wrap top made from both tartans, the Rum rose lace mesh top, the Iona tie neck blouse and the Skye balloon sleeve maxi dress in deep burgundy.
It's all made for wild weather and long walks: weighted jersey that swishes as you move, soft waists that never dig in and easy layers that work with the rest of your wardrobe. Whether your style is whimsigoth or simply practical and comfortable, pair the tartan skirt with chunky boots and wool cable knit tights, or tuck the lace mesh top into the skirt for full drama.

Questions on the wind
How do I find my size?
Every piece comes in sizes A/B to J (UK 4 to 38) and has been fit and wearer tested across our size range. There's comfort built in too: the Jura top wraps and ties wherever you want it and the Islay skirt has a soft, stretchy waistband.

Are there pockets?
Yes, proper working pockets. The Islay skirt and the Skye dress both have deep side pockets that hold your phone, keys and lip balm, and they lie flat against your hips with no awkward bunching.
Is the Rum lace top see-through?
Yes, it's sheer on purpose so the roses stand out. Wear a bra or a simple cami underneath, or layer it under the Skye dress so the high lace neck peeks out.
What tights should I wear with tartan?
For properly freezing days, our Grannies cable knit wool tights are hard to beat. For a pop of colour, try 120 denier in Crocodile green, Plum or Kraken's Breath, and plain 80 denier black always looks great. Under a maxi skirt, add a pair of Chub Rub shorts so your thighs stay happy all day.
What is it made from, and how do I wash it?
The Jura wrap top is soft organic cotton jersey (94% organic cotton, 6% elastane) and the Rum top is stretch lace (93% polyester, 7% elastane). The Iona blouse is a light, breathable blend (88% viscose, 12% polyamide), the Islay skirt is weighted stretch jersey and the Skye dress is breathable stretch cotton. Everything is made in Turkey and machine washes at 30°C. Skip the tumble dryer to keep it all at its best.
